What Is Solar Panel?

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells. This energy can power your home’s lights and appliances, lowering your reliance on the grid.
By using sunlight, a plentiful resource, you can generate clean, renewable energy from your rooftop.

How Does Solar Work?

Sunlight hits the panels: Sunlight is made of tiny particles called photons.

Electrons are released: Photons free electrons in the solar cells.

Electricity is created: The electrons move, generating electricity.

Electricity flows to the inverter: It travels to an inverter via wire.

Inverter powers your home: The inverter changes the electricity to power your home.

Excess power is sent to the grid: Extra electricity flows back to the grid, and you get credit.
How Does Solar Panel Save Money?

Utilising Free Sunlight
Solar panels let you generate your own power from sunlight, reducing your reliance on local electricity and lowering your bills.

Lower Electricity Bills
After installation, solar panels can quickly lower your electricity costs, and some homeowners can even sell excess power back to the grid for extra income.

Long-Term Savings
Though solar panels have a high initial cost, their long-term savings and low maintenance make them worthwhile, lasting over 10 years for ongoing financial benefits.
Are solar panels worth it, and what are the benefits?
