On 10th of July 2024 (Wednesday), the Galaxy Unpacked event took place at the Senheng x Samsung Premium Experience Store at Four Seasons Place, Kuala Lumpur. This 2-hour exclusive watch party event is held by Samsung and co-hosted by Senheng for the global launching and reveal of the newest Samsung products which are Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Buds3 Pro and Buds 3 and Galaxy Ring.
Representatives from Samsung and Senheng were invited to attend the event alongside 10 KOCs for the purpose of promotion. A selected number of Senheng PlusOne members were also invited, and that being one of the membership perks. Additionally, there is a mystery giveaway of fabulous prizes and meet-&-greet with influencers - Arisa Yamanaka from Japan & SeonMa Shin from Korea.
The event had two main sessions in the agenda which includes Unpacked livestream viewing and device experiential session. After guests had enjoyed their welcome refreshments and received their door gifts, they were seated and followed on by the Unpacked livestream viewing and the launching of the newest Samsung products was broadcasted globally. The livestream began with a video of a teenage boy skating through the neighbourhood and using his Samsung Galaxy AI for translation to communicate with different groups of peers who speak different languages. Then, Samsung's newest products were unveiled and their unique features were highlighted and explained in detail.
Besides all of the products mentioned, Samsung also introduced Google Gemini, Samsung’s personal AI assistant that is now integrated into the new Galaxy Z Fold6. Google Gemini can be used to answer simple question to performing complex tasks such as helping to plan an event by giving you ideas of decorations, food and party games.
After the livestream ended, a pre-order announcement was made where the emcee announced that all the newest Samsung products except for the Galaxy Ring is now open for pre-order starting from 10th of July until 30th of July. The announcement was then followed by the device experiential session where Samsung specialists demonstrated and showcased the functionality of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Fold6 along with other new products. At the same time, guests were welcomed to have their first hands-on experience on the products where they get to see, touch and use the products as their features were explained by the specialists. The guests were invited to try and test the device however they like, for example, testing the camera, writing on the note etc. The watch party ended around 10.30pm.
